Legacy Products
Why a Legacy Product May Need to Be Recreated
Some older products were created using our previous designer or an item that is no longer available in our current catalog. Because of this, legacy products can no longer be edited and may need to be recreated before they can be fulfilled.
This usually happens for one of two reasons:
1. The Product Is No Longer Available
Some products are removed from our catalog for reasons such as:
The item was discontinued by the manufacturer
Stock levels became too low or unreliable for on-demand printing
The product did not consistently meet our print quality standards
If this happens, we may recreate the item using a similar product that is currently available. If there is already an order for the item, we will contact the church for approval before publishing the updated product and moving the order into production.
2. The Product Was Created in the Old Designer
Products made in the old designer may not sync correctly with our current system. This can cause issues such as:
The base product showing as deleted
Design files not syncing correctly
Product details not loading
Pricing, preview, or product information errors
Example: A SKU may be missing the print method and appear as BC3739-CS2025042826907 instead of including the decoration type, such as BC3739-EMBROIDERY-CS2025042826907.
These issues are usually found when an order is placed or when a product is being reviewed.
Why Do Older Designer Products Have Issues?
Products created before major designer updates are considered legacy products. While many still work correctly, some may become incompatible as the platform evolves.
Updates help improve performance, reliability, features, and product support. As a result, older products may occasionally need adjustments or recreation to work properly with newer systems. When issues are identified, we work to resolve them and prevent future order problems.
Important Notes
Legacy product issues are often identified when an order is placed. If a product needs to be recreated, we'll review it and contact you if approval is required.
